1. Millard Meiss Publication Fund
The Millard Meiss Publication Fund, awards grants twice a year to support the publication of book-length scholarly manuscripts in the history of art, visual studies, and related subjects that have been accepted by a publisher on their merits but cannot be published in the most desirable form without a subsidy.
Only publishers may submit an application, but authors must be current CAA members. The deadlines for the receipt of applications are April 1 and October 1 of each year. Please review the Application Guidelines and the Application Process, Schedule, and Checklist for complete instructions.
2. Wyeth Foundation for American Art Publication Grant
The Wyeth Foundation for American Art Publication Grant supports book-length scholarly manuscripts in the history of American art, visual studies, and related subjects that have been accepted by a publisher on their merits, but cannot be published in the most desirable form without a subsidy. For this grant program, “American art” is defined as art created in the United States, Canada, and Mexico through 1970. The deadline for the receipt of applications is October 1 of each year.
